2nd and Final day of the Regional Writing Workshop on ACSC/APF Follow-Up Mechanisms hosted by Human Rights Working Group (HRWG)

During the second day of the Regional Writing Workshop on ACSC/APF Follow-Up Mechanisms hosted by Human Rights Working Group (HRWG), the participants met with the Ambassador Ngurah Swajara, Indonesian Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) in the afternoon. to present the ASEAN TOR of the CPR mandate all the 10 CPR to do community building in which we can approach any one of the CPR for our national issues. It was encouraging that Amb. Ngurah was receptive and invited continued interaction with him. During the meeting the Ambassador urged all regional Civil Society Organizations (CSO) to register with ASEAN.

Subsequently the workshop came to a successful closure on the afternoon of 5th March 2013 and we are pleased to inform you of the very fruitful results. All the participants put a great deal of effort and were able to successfully draft the zero draft. Most importantly, as a result of much deliberation, we are happy to report that the '"Youth Agenda'" being an emerging segment of ASEAN society has been added as one of the focus' that will coincide with the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) three pillars of the political-security, economic and cultural – social Communities.
